Elektroakustisk ambient konsert med Tobias Karlehag

Gathenhielmska Huset bjuder in till två speciella konserter med ambient musikern Tobias Karlehag.
Konserterna kommer att framföras i en 360° uppsättning av högtalare runt om i rummet.
Tobias Karlehag, multiinstrumentalist och ljudkonstnär från Göteborg. I sitt soloprojekt utforskar han genrerna ambient och drone genom algoritmiska kompositioner och improvisation. Med modulärsynt, elgitarr samt diverse elektronik formar han stilla och meditativa tillstånd. Inspirationen till sitt arbete kommer bl.a från fältinspelningar, slump samt egna reflektioner kring flöde och uppbrott.
I Januari 2021 släpptes debutalbumet ’Process’ på det amerikanska ambient bolaget Past Inside the Present. Albumet har sålt slut i nischade skivbutiker världen över såsom Reykjavik, Tokyo, Sydney, Paris, London och Indianapolis. Denna begränsade upplaga av vinyler kommer dock finnas till försäljning på konserten.

Tobias Karlehag is a multi-instrumentalist and sound artist from Gothenburg, Sweden. With his solo project he creates spacious ambient and drone music through algorithmic compositions and improvisation.
In his debut album ‘Process’ he shapes a still and meditative state with modular synths, electric guitar and various electronics with underlying narratives. The music is the result of a shift where the inspiration for his work comes, partially from field recordings, chance and his own reflections on flow and break-up. The album has sold out in niches record shops all over the world such as Reykjavik, Tokyo, Sydney, Paris, London and Indianapolis. The very limited edition vinyl will be available for purchase at the concerts.
The improvised aspect of Process gives it a bountiful, open feel, and an element of the pastoral is present within his ambient music, where breeze-blown blades of grass lie in yawning fields. Karlehag’s ambient soundscapes are wide-stretching panoramas with stunning views, going on for as far as the eye can see. – Fluid radio uk
